Planning for a Successful Transition

At Autumn Ridge Church our purpose is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who love God and serve people. Our city of Rochester, with a population of 100,000, and home to the world-renowned Mayo Clinic, is one of the most economically vibrant, densely settled cities in the Upper Midwest, and the epicenter of an economic boom. As a growing church of 2,000 we are the largest congregation in Rochester and a spiritual lighthouse to this growing community.

As we plan for Senior Pastor transition we are focused on the success of our next Senior Pastor. We are praying and waiting on the Lord to understand his will. This page is one way we are creating doors that God may choose to open.

We strive for ministry excellence because we have a high view of God. We value biblical and theological instruction because we have a high view of scripture. We act graciously because all people are created in the image of God. Through our preaching, teaching, and small group ministry we are preparing our congregation to love God and serve the people of our community and the world.

About Us

A Generous, Christ-centered Community who Loves God and Serves People
Autumn Ridge Church is an evangelical, non-denominational church. We are committed to sharing the good news of Jesus. We welcome people from all walks of life to join us in fulfilling our mission of loving God and serving people.

We live out our mission through our vision (1 Peter 3:15) of equipping Autumn Ridgers, in the power of the Spirit, to be disciples where they live, work, and play, and share our hope in Jesus.

Our Central Ministry Focus, taken from Ephesians 2:10 and 4:11-16, is to equip followers of Jesus to understand their identity in Christ, discover their God-given gifts, and exercise them in love to build up Christ’s kingdom.

Statement of Faith

The Word of God

We believe the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

The Trinity

We believe there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons, that these are equal in every divine perfection, and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption.

God the Father

We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of people, He hears and answers prayer, and He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, and ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal visible return to Earth.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, and He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide.

We believe all are sinners by nature and by choice, and are therefore, under condemnation. We believe those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit.

The Church

We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible profession of faith, and associated for worship, work, and fellowship. We believe God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary task of giving the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world.

Christian Conduct

We believe all Christians should live for the glory of God and the well being of others, their conduct should be blameless before the world, they should be faithful stewards of their possessions, and they should seek to realize for themselves and others the full stature of maturity in Christ.

The Ordinances

We believe our Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water into the name of the triune God. We believe the Lord’s Supper was instituted by Christ for commemoration of His death. We believe these two ordinances should be observed and administered until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Last Things

We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His Kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the eternal happiness of the righteous, and the endless suffering of the wicked.
