Church Community News (Announcements, Letters, Employment, etc.)

Congratulations to Everett and Marilyn Carr as they celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on December 6.

We extend our sympathy to Kathy Winsky whose father died on November 24.
Congratulations to JP and Amy Stockton on the birth of a son, Luca Ty, on November 30.

Elder Board Opportunity Every year several spots open for new elder board members. If you are interested in providing vision and leadership for the Autumn Ridge congregation and meet the requirements, please contact Mark Foley at markkfoley@hotmail.com or 507-250-7345 to be considered for 2018. Each elder serves a 3 year term, attends a monthly meeting, and usually sits on one or more committees involving many other church oversight tasks. The requirements for serving as an elder are found in Titus 1:5-9 and 1 Timothy 3:1-7. You must also have been a member of Autumn Ridge Church for at least one year.

mercying-definitionMercy has been defined as “love in action.” Whether you want to show that love in action in the Autumn Ridge community or in the broader community, we have options for you, your family, and even your Life Group.

Have you found opportunities for Mercy-ing?
Use a Connection Card to drop us a note and let us know – so that we may encourage others to find their own opportunities.

Who we are: A Bible Study group which connects you to women of all ages – 18 on up, who are meeting God and making friends.

What we do: Study the Bible through well-prepared teaching lectures, small group discussion, and friendships.

When we meet:
Wednesdays at 9:30-11:00am and 6:30-8:00pm. Our first session is Wednesday, September 20, 2017.

What else should I know? It’s free – including childcare and an excellent children’s program. Coffee and treats each week. A great way to connect with other women.

Side By Side, a non-denominational women’s bible study meeting at Autumn Ridge Church on Friday mornings, is looking for individuals interested in helping with childcare. Both substitutes and regular childcare workers needed. Hours are 9:10-11:30. This is a paid position. Teens $15, Adults $25 each Friday during the academic school year.
