Regathering for In-Person Worship

It’s Time to Regather for Worship

Over the last few months, we have been a church scattered, and we are so excited to be able to begin regathering in person!

Join us for in-person, contemporary services on Sundays at 10:00am and 11:30am.

Due to physical distancing requirements, church will look a little different. Learn more below.

We know that some of you may not be ready or able to gather in person, and that’s okay!

We will continue to stream our services on Saturdays at 5:30pm and  Sundays at 8:30, 10:00am, and 11:30am.

Frequently Asked Questions

WILL MY FAMILY BE REQUIRED TO PRE-REGISTER IN ORDER TO ATTEND A WORSHIP GATHERING?

We are excited to regather in person! To ensure physical distancing, we request everyone who plans to attend a gathering in person to pre-register. This step also enables us to work with the Olmsted County Public Health Services and is an added layer of safety for our congregation. If an individual or family forgets to register, we will have a small number of seats available, assuming we are not at capacity. They will, however, have their names entered into the system.

HOW WILL WE ENSURE SAFE AND SOCIAL DISTANCING IN THE PARKING LOT?

When you pull into the Autumn Ridge parking lot, you will be greeted by our phenomenal parking team volunteers. We ask that you leave one parking space between your car and the car beside you.

WILL MY FAMILY BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK IN ORDER TO ATTEND?

We believe the message of the gospel is love trumps rights. Out of an abundance of love for others, we will require every person over two years of age to wear a mask while on campus – even while outdoors. Each of our volunteers and staff will wear a mask in order to provide a layer of protection for attendees. If you do not have a mask, we will have a limited quantity available for you to wear and take home.

WILL THERE BE A SPECIFIC ENTRANCE TO USE?

Yes. For your safety and security, we will use only the main entrance to the building. Doors will be opened 30 minutes prior to worship – Sundays at 9:30 for the 10:00am service and 11:00 for the 11:30am service.

HOW WILL WE ENSURE THAT THE COMMON AREAS ARE SAFE AND SOCIAL DISTANCING IS BEING OBSERVED?

We will be limiting the entrance to the sanctuary. We encourage guests to go directly into the sanctuary and be seated. Please do not hang out in the lobby area. We want to make the experience as touch-free as possible, and we will not have any consumables in any of our services. We will not be handing out bulletins. Restroom doors will be propped open and will be staffed to clean and sanitize surfaces regularly.

WHAT SHOULD MY FAMILY BRING WITH THEM?

A smile to share with everyone, a mask, and your reservation confirmation. Please also bring a spirit of expectancy and a heart of worship.

WILL AUTUMN RIDGE BE PROVIDING HAND SANITIZING STATIONS?

Yes! Numerous hands-free stations will be provided.

WILL WEEKEND SERVICE PROGRAMMING LOOK DIFFERENT?

We are excited to provide a worship service on Sundays at 10:00am and 11:30am with dynamic, live teaching and meaningful worship. There will be responsive elements in the services, but we will not be singing as a congregation. This will be a service for you to bring the whole family and will also allow time for our cleaning team to sanitize between services.

HOW WILL RISK MANAGEMENT/SECURITY WORK?

Your safety is a high priority. The SERV team will operate in the parking lot, inside the lobby, and in the sanctuary.

IS IT OKAY FOR OUR FAMILY TO RESERVE SEATS AND SIT WITH FRIENDS THAT WE HAVE BEEN SOCIALIZING WITH, OUTSIDE OF THE WEEKEND GATHERING?

For this initial season of re-gathering, we ask that everyone in attendance practice physical distancing and refrain from sitting with friends. We believe our role as church leaders is to provide a safe, spacious, and sanitized gathering for families to come and worship together.

HOW WILL ATTENDEES INSIDE THE SANTUARY BE DISMISSED SO THAT WE ARE STAYING IN COMPLIANCE WITH SOCIAL DISTANCING?

Our ushering team will dismiss rows individually from back to front.

WILL THERE BE ANY SPECIAL RESERVED SEATING FOR VULNERABLE ATTENDEES AND THEIR FAMILY?

We strongly encourage those individuals who are considered to be high-risk to participate in the services at home via our regularly streaming services. Our online services are available on Facebook, YouTube, and the Autumn Ridge Live Streams page of our website.

  • Saturdays at 5:30pm – Contemporary service (streaming only)
  • Sundays at 8:30am – Traditional service (streaming only)
  • Sundays at 10:00am & 11:30am – Contemporary service (in-person and streaming)

Those individuals streaming the service will be receiving the same sermon as those at the in-person service.

WILL AUTUMN RIDGE CONTINUE TO PROVIDE CHURCH ONLINE AND ON FACEBOOK?

Absolutely! Our streaming services will continue to be a source for those who are unable to attend church physically, those who are feeling ill, or anyone who would like to further isolate.

HOW WILL WE GIVE OUR TITHES AND OFFERINGS?

There are multiple ways to give, and each option is safe and secure.

  • Give online at AutumnRidgeChurch.org/give.
  • Text ARIDGE to 77977 and follow the prompts.
  • Give in person. Drop your offering into the stations provided in the lobby.
  • Give by mail to Autumn Ridge Church, 3611 Salem Road SW, Rochester, MN 55902.

WILL THERE BE AR KIDS AND CHILDCARE ON SUNDAYS?

On Sunday, September 13 AR Kids is launching new programming specifically designed for kids in 1st – 5th grade during the 10:00 and 11:30 A.M. services.

WHY ISN'T THERE PROGRAMMING FOR MY YOUNGER CHILDREN?

Right now, we are starting with what my team and I are able to do safely and well. We are working extremely hard to ensure that we not only abide by the current COVID-19 guidelines, but also that we are doing all we can to keep your children (and by extension, the entire family) healthy and safe. We look forward to the day when we can welcome back all our wonderful children, but for now we are starting with 1st – 5th grades only.

HOW WILL YOU WORK TO KEEP MY CHILDREN SAFE?

Due to restrictions, we have limited spots available during each service; the best way to guarantee that your child has a spot is to pre-register at www.autumnridge.church (where you can also find lots of great info on the church). Along with that, we will require all children to wear a mask and maintain social distance of six feet (we will have areas marked out to help with that). For those who aren’t able to secure a spot, we will still provide Activity Bags with Sermon Bingo for your children.

WHAT DOES THE PROCESS LOOK LIKE IF MY CHILDREN ARE PARTICIPATING IN SUNDAY PROGRAMMING?

If you pre-register your children, you will be able to park in The CENTER parking lot behind the church and enter through The CENTER; our check-in table will be located inside. After we check-in your child, they will be escorted into the gym (where we’re meeting), and an usher will lead you into the sanctuary through The CENTER entrance. For pickup, you will exit through the same doors; we will sign-out your child and send them to you.

WHAT HAPPENS IF SOMEONE WAS CONFIRMED TO HAVE COVID-19 AFTER THEY ATTENDED A SERVICE?

If a guest is identified as COVID-19 positive, the Olmsted County Public Health Services will interview the guest and notify Autumn Ridge if needed. Autumn Ridge staff will assist in contact tracing based on dates and registrations. A county exposure letter will be sent and the county will follow up with interviews and quarantines as needed.
