Pastor Rick: Love and Financial Update

by Pastor Rick Henderson

Each month we like to give you an update on how our church is doing financially. While that is helpful, we can do better. Beginning in August, each week there will be an article or a video giving you insight into our church’s finances. We want you to be as informed as possible. We want to be as transparent as possible.

As of June our year-to-date offerings are down $113,000 (5.99%). After all that we’ve experienced, that doesn’t surprise us. And, it doesn’t scare us. It is something we take seriously. In response, we have done our best to eliminate every expense imaginable. Our month-to-date expenses are down $151,000 (35%). Our year-to-date expenses are $563,000 (22%) under budget.

Month-to-date our net income is $2,000. Our year-to-date net deficit is $113,000. That is $92,000 better than we budgeted. As is the case with other organizations or with a business, income lags behind expenses at the beginning of the year. Income does catch up and surpass expenses by the end of the year. That is historically the case at Autumn Ridge. It is my hope that will be the case this year as well.

As important as it is to give an update on finances, it is equally important to update you on how well our church is doing at loving the community. I can’t say it often enough or loudly enough. I’m so proud of and grateful to be a part of this church. Thank you to those who give and those who volunteer. Your investment fuels our impact. Here are some of the local ministries and organizations with whom we are excited to partner.
