Most of us know that falling in love is easy. But how do we stay in love? In the midst of our hectic lives, peppered with careers, kids, aging parents and financial stress, we often forget what it was like back when we fell in love. Although it is not necessarily difficult, staying in love is entirely different than falling in love and requires intentionality. It is sometimes as simple as doing those “little things” that we did for our spouse when we had no other distractions. But many of us have to put more thought and planning into the process. We may even need to start dating our spouse all over, just as we did when we first met.
We invite you and your spouse to join us for a stress-free weekend at the Elizabeth Lodge designed to help you stay in love.
What you need to know about the weekend:
- Only 6 couples per weekend
- Low key, loosely structured time to refocus on each other
- Meals provided Friday evening (dinner at 6:30) through Sunday lunch
- No children, pets, work, or in-laws allowed
- Cost $75.00 per couple due at registration
A map and directions the Elizabeth Lodge will be sent upon registration.
While these retreats are open to all couples, if you are currently struggling in your marriage, we recommend you speak with Pastor Karen Foster prior to registering. Please contact her by e-mail at Foster.Karen@AutumnRidgeChurch.org or phone at (507) 288-8880.
