Who we are: Women of all ages are invited to meet together to connect, relax, and do something fun and different. This is a time where one can fellowship, invite friends to attend, learn and share talents–all with a spiritual emphasis.
What we do: At each meeting there is a meaningful devotional and a brief demonstration on a topic of interest. Women are encouraged to bring a project to work on, or they can relax and connect with others.
When and where we meet: We typically meet on the second Thursday of each month during the school year from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, in the Summit Room.
Registration: No cost or registration required. Simply come and join us!
What else should I know: Sweet and healthy treats and beverages will be served.
Each month is a different program and demonstration. The demos will vary from the fine arts, health, beauty and wellness, yarn and needle art, beading and jewelry making, hospitality, etc.
Our Mission Projects
There are two mission projects that A Time for Women participates in. One is our Baby Blanket Ministry where several of the gals knit or crochet blankets for the newborns of ARC. These blankets are handmade with prayer and love for the family that will receive them. A few of us called Visiting Moms go out to visit and pray with the family or meet with them at church where they select their blanket.
Our other project is Sewing Sisters for Missions. We are making kits for a doctor to use when she goes out to the villages. She is affiliated with Compassion Hospital in Guinea, Africa. There are several ways to donate and help with both of these projects.
They also meet at least three times a year for Craft Retreats where ladies can bring projects to work on and have a day of sharing while working on projects. These Craft Retreats are on Saturdays at church in the Summit Room from 8 – 4 and are a come-and-go event as women’s schedules allow.
