Children at Autumn Ridge

Children at Autumn Ridge

Encourage Parents. Inspire Children.

We aren’t messing around when it comes to the families in our community. Our goal each weekend is to provide an exciting, safe, and engaging experience for kids (birth – 5th grade). We also plan multiple events throughout the year that provide a venue for families to let loose and have fun together.

But our mission doesn’t end there. We understand the difficulties parents face; many of us have experienced it! We understand that you want the best for your child but aren’t always sure how to make it happen. Our team is here for you as well! We desire to partner with parents to help you through this chapter of their life.

Barnabas Special Needs Program

We also offer a fun program designed specifically for Children with Special Needs (ages 5-18) called Barnabas. The students have the opportunity to sing songs, learn Bible stories, create art projects, and pray in this specialized setting. The room is staffed with trained volunteers who are able to care for and support these children and teens while teaching and modeling the love of Jesus. Barnabas meets during the 10:00 service on Sundays and will resume on May 23.

Kids and COVID

On Sunday, February 7 AR Kids will be expanding our Sunday programming! We now have spots available for Kindergarten – fifth graders as well as Pre-K (children entering kindergarten in Fall 2021)! We are excited to see more of our families as we continue to re-open.

Due to restrictions, we have limited spots available during each service; the best way to guarantee that your child has a spot is to pre-register at www.autumnridge.church (where you can also find lots of great info on the church). Along with that, we will require all children to wear a mask and maintain social distance of six feet (we will have areas marked out to help with that). For those who aren’t able to secure a spot, we will still provide Activity Bags with Sermon Bingo for your children.

Right now, we are starting with what my team and I are able to do safely and well. We are working extremely hard to ensure that we not only abide by the current COVID-19 guidelines, but also that we are doing all we can to keep your children (and by extension, the entire family) healthy and safe. We look forward to the day when we can welcome back all our wonderful children, but for now we are using a ‘phased’ approach. Phase 1 was to bring back programming for first-fifth graders. Phase 2 expands that program to include Pre-K and kindergarten. Phases 3-5 will focus on opening the nursery, toddlers’ rooms, and finally getting back to ’normal’ on the weekends.

If you pre-register your children, you will be able to park in The CENTER parking lot behind the church and enter through The CENTER; our check-in table will be located inside. After we check-in your child, they will be escorted into the gym (where we’re meeting), and an usher will lead you into the sanctuary through The CENTER entrance. For pickup, you will exit through the same doors; we will sign-out your child and send them to you.
