Celebrate Recovery Fall Kickoff

by Steve Eng

Join us Friday evening, September 24 to help us launch our fall season of Celebrate Recovery. We begin that evening at 6:30 p.m. with a BBQ Supper and a “taste” of CR, including an abbreviated Large Group Celebration, a special one-evening Newcomers 101 session for all first-time attenders, abbreviated gender-specific Life Issues and Chemical Dependency groups, concluding with a café time with dessert, coffee, and other beverages at 8:30 p.m.  There’s no commitment to attend on an ongoing basis, just come and check us out!

Commonly thought of as a ministry for “those people,” Celebrate Recovery addresses the issues that nearly all people face – work issues, family struggles, secret or unhelpful behaviors, past trauma or abuse, anxiety, depression, grief, anger or control issues, struggles with food, suicidal thoughts or hopelessness, loneliness, and over-dependence on alcohol, prescription drugs, and other substances.

Even if you feel your life is nearly perfect, pray about someone in your family, neighborhood, or workplace you can invite and bring to Celebrate Recovery as we share the hope that can only be found in Jesus Christ.

Run in thousands of churches around the world, participants find Celebrate Recovery to be a safe place to find community and support, along with freedom from issues that can control a person’s life.

NEW! CR Step Study Group for Men begins Wednesday evening, September 29.

Whether you attend CR on Friday nights or not, this new group for men is for you!  CR Step Studies take you on a 9-12 month weekly, in-depth journey that challenges you to step out of denial, take an honest and spiritual inventory of your life, get right with God, and grow in Christ.

Working through lessons and exercises found in your personal Participant’s Guides, you will begin to experience the peace and serenity you have been seeking, restore and develop stronger relationships with others and with God, and find freedom from life’s hurts, hang-ups, and habits.
