Our Core Mission Values
What We Value in Global Mission
At Autumn Ridge Church we believe that mission is the corportate call upon God's people to obediently take the responsibility of penetrating and reaching every unreached people group, nation, tribe, and tongue of the world by establishing an indigenous disciplemaking church in their midst that is equipped and capable of reaching its own people ("ethnos") with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our Global Mission seeks to train and develop the people group in all areas of life, health, welfare, and community—touching the whole person; and to substantially aid the missionary in their call to mission.
Through Global Mission we move toward the development of a disciplemaking churches within various people groups. The goal and responsibility of completing the task of world mission lies with the corporate church—and that task being “bringing glory and worship to God by establishing a church in every people group.” The misnomer of Home Mission and Foreign Mission has taken the focus off of Genuine Mission. Mission does not designate home, foreign, nor even overseas. Genuine Global Mission implies that the missionary is working among a people group that is unreached and/or among young churches discipling them to the point where they can reproduce and evangelize with their own city, culture, language, or group.
In our goal of reaching the world through our Global Mission efforts, we hold to seven core values. These values permeate all areas of our mission planning, thinking, support, prayer, and involvement. These are our core values:
