We have been very thankful for the encouragement many people have given us over these past months of preparation through your words, prayers and financial support.  We are so excited to announce that we have 100% of the financial support through pledges that we need to teach at Faith Academy in Manila, Philippines with Wycliffe Bible Translators for two years!  We were also hoping for 50 people who would support us through weekly or daily prayer, we now have 71! 

We are going to be leaving on July 16.  Praise God we received our visas several weeks ago.  We will fly out of Minneapolis on a 12-hour flight to Tokyo and after a two-hour lay over, we will fly for 4-1/2 hours to Manila, arriving on July 17.  On July 28 we have a week-long orientation with Wycliffe.  On Aug. 4 we have a week-long orientation with Faith Academy.  On Aug. 12, school starts. 

Prayer Requests

  • Pray that God would prepare our family spiritually as we get ready to leave.<o:p></o:p>
  • Pray for God’s protection as we prepare to leave.  There have been a lot of annoying things that have slowed us down these past few days.  Pray for God’s peace to settle on us.<o:p></o:p>
  • Pray for the packing, storing and shipping process.<o:p></o:p>
  • Pray as we say goodbye to friends and family.<o:p></o:p>
  • Pray that our flights would be safe and peaceful and that the trips through the airports would go as smoothly as possible with two small children and luggage.<o:p></o:p>
  • Pray that the settling in time (July 17 - July 27) would go smoothly and we would find the supplies we need.  Pray all our luggage would arrive on time.<o:p></o:p>
  • Pray as we begin orientation with our mission and the school.  Pray our minds will be ready for the overload of information.<o:p></o:p>
  • Pray for our children (Caitlyn, 3-1/2 and Nathan, 22 months) as they adjust to the change of living overseas.  <o:p></o:p>
  • Pray that God would use us to minister to missionary kids for His glory!<o:p></o:p>
