Kankan, GUINEA
We are currently serving our SIM Guinea team in the area of Administration.Burt does much of the nuts and bolts stuff that enables our team to minister in Guinea: keeping visas up to date, making sure necessary paperwork is turned in to the government at the proper time, maintaining the cash flow from our US office through the bank in Kankan to the safe in the office, recording the monthly financial transactions, etc.
My main responsibilities are keeping our family and household running smoothly. I have also been helping out administratively by doing e-mail for the team, managing the guest house, and publishing a quarterly prayer guide. And I seek to be involved in our community through visiting Maninka women and being involved in their lives as I'm able.
Prayer Requests
Pray that the Lord would daily be our joy and greatest delight on earth.
Pray that He'd reveal Himself to us more and more as we read and meditate on His Word.
Pray for our marriage to be a strong and happy one.
Pray for Nicholas as he's a freshman at the U of M Duluth and Moses as he's a junior in high school at boarding school in Dakar, Senegal.
Pray that though being separated by the miles, we'd all learn to trust in the Sovereignty and Goodness and Faithfulness of God to meet all our needs.
Pray for Burt and I as we minister to the Maninka and our SIM team through doing administrative work.
Pray that we'd be humble and joyful servants--serving in the strength and joy that the Lord provides.
Pray for the Lord to be drawing many Maninka to Himself as His Word goes forth.
