Campbells continue to facilitate the translation of 52 Bible stories in Maninka from a neighboring language. Caleb, along with a colleague, has begun chronologically storying these Bible stories, with a small group of Maninka men in their 20’s.
Because there are less than 150 Christians among the 2 million Maninka in Guinea, people fear to show any interest in Christ knowing that persecution is certain. This could take the form of ridicule, beatings, ostracism being shunned by one’s family and refused food. Children can also be permanently removed from the home. Expanding the chronological storying of the Bible to multiple settings is one of the Campbells’ desires.
Pray for the translation process to be complete to get the Bible stories into national Christians’ hands so that it is easier for them to share the “whole” story with their friends and relatives.
