Small Groups
If you are looking for a place to fit in, get connected, fellowship, and grow in your walk with Christ, you've arrived! Our goal at Autumn Ridge Church Student Ministries is to make your faith real to you. Small groups are really just a more intimate way to grow in your walk with Christ and also connect with your peers.
Small Groups are a place where you can connect relationally with others who are on a spiritual journey with Jesus. Many of us are at different places along this journey, but small groups provide a place that is safe to share the challenges of faith, where we can be authentic with one another, where we can offer help to one another, provide spiritual care, and encourage spiritual growth. For the 2009 - 2010 School Year Sessions, we will be in co-ed groups as we jump head first into our focus of the year - EVANGELISM. Each group's discussion is student led by one of your friends. We meet each Monday night beginning Monday, September 21st from 7pm - 8:30pm. If you are not a regular attender and would like to join a small group, send an email to Reggie and you will be contacted with information regarding the group that is best for you.
Small Groups are more than just another Bible study - they are a place to live life together!
CURRENT STUDIES
Evangelism is the focus for the 2009-2010 school year.
Our focus for this year's small group curriculum is Evangelism Explosion. This year's groups are co-ed and will be student led. Over the course of this curriculum, each student will be challenged to 1) understand the gospel and know how to share it 2) memorize verses that are necessary to understand and share when the gospel is presented 3) find 2 adult prayer partners to pray for them throughout this years' focus and 4) eventually visit some of their friends with the intentional focus of sharing the truth of Jesus with them.
This will be an exciting year when both students and leaders alike with be thrown outside their comfort zone for the sake of Christ! - BE INVOLVED, JOIN A SMALL GROUP!
FALL SCHEDULE
September 21 - SESSION A Small Groups Begin at ARC (UPPER ROOM) - Get to know you evening
September 28 - Small Groups at ARC (UPPER ROOM) - Get to know you continued and division of small groups
October 5 - December 14 - Meetings Occur every Monday Night at ARC (Upper Room) - please note that as small groups get to know each other that each group has the freedom of moving off campus for their small group time if there is a natural opportunity to do so.
December 21 and 28 - OFF - NO SMALL GROUPS
January 4 and 11 - Final 2 meetings of Session A Small Groups
January 18 - MLK - NO SMALL GROUPS
January 25 - SESSION B Small Groups Begin at ARC (UPPER ROOM) - Get to know you evening and division of small groups
February 1 - April 26 - Meetings Occur every Monday Night at ARC (Upper Room) - please note that as small groups get to know each other that each group has the freedom of moving off campus for their small group time if there is a natural opportunity to do so.
