Commitment cards allow members of the congregation to confidentially pledge financial support to the sharing Hope initiative. The card communicates an intention that, by Gods’ grace, the indicated amount will be provided over three years.
Yes. The Autumn Ridge Church business office will record the commitment confidentially as a courtesy to assist in tracking, but donor commitments are confidential. This is a matter that is entirely between the donor and their Lord.
Yes. Pledges may be increased or decreased by contacting the church office.
Of course—sharing Hope commitment cards remain available in the lobby, in the church office, and online. Return commitment cards in the offering, or to the church office, 3611 Salem Rd SW, Rochester, 55902.
April, 2010 is the first month of the 3-year initiative. March, 2013 is the final month.
Be assured that commitments are treated confidentially. As a courtesy, the Autumn Ridge Church business office will provide a pledge reminder and maintain records of giving toward the pledged amount for each giver. Simply inform the office to increase or decrease the pledge amount. New givers will be welcomed throughout the three-year sharing Hope initiative.
The $150,000 gift to Compassion Evangelical Hospital will be provided as soon as these pledges are received. The scope of design and construction of the CENTER at Autumn Ridge is entirely dependent on the amount pledged to the sharing Hope initiative. Autumn Ridge Leaders have stated the goal of building the CENTER without long-term debt. The sharing Hope commitment total therefore determines the size of the project. With excellent construction pricing available, the goal is a 36,000 square foot facility designed to meet growth needs of the next decade. We will celebrate even if God’s will involves a smaller level of commitments through his people! The size and capability of the CENTER will be scaled appropriately, allowing for subsequent additions, if necessary.
We together thank God for faithfulness and direction.
We thank dozens of planners for many hours of thoughtful effort.
We thank dozens of volunteers for implementation of the initiative.
We thank the congregation for vision, ideas, generosity and prayers.
A guiding principle in the Sharing Hope campaign is captured by the phrase “Not equal gifts, but equal sacrifice.”
The Lord empowers each to be a cheerful giver, finding joy in sharing Hope. Each has a different capacity to give, but each has an equal capacity to sacrifice. Our prayer is that commitments to
Sharing Hope will reflect equal sacrifice by each giver.
Some will eliminate current expenses to increase giving. Others will delay a major expenditure. Some will find creative ways to increase personal income in order to give to Sharing Hope. Some will give gifts out of assets such as stocks, bonds, valuables or property. Others will prayerfully redirect contributions to retirement accounts or other forms of savings during the three-year Sharing Hope initiative. Personal sacrifice is not a one-time check or contribution, but a profound way to explore and deepen the gift of giving.
