More on Amy Grant

Amy Lee Grant (born November 25, 1960) is an American singer, songwriter, musician, author, media personality and actress. She is known as a contemporary Christian music artist and for a successful crossover to pop music in the 1980s and 1990s. She has been referred to as “The Queen of Christian Pop.” As of 2009, she had sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, won six Grammy Awards (18 nominations) and 22 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, and had the first Christian album ever to go Platinum. She was honored with a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2006 for her contributions to the entertainment industry. She made her debut as a teenager, and gained fame in Christian music during the 1980s with such hits as “Father’s Eyes”, “El Shaddai”, and “Angels.” In the mid-1980s, she began broadening her audience and soon became one of the first Christian artists to cross over into mainstream pop on the heels of her successful albums Unguarded and Lead Me On. In 1986, she scored her first Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 song in a duet with Peter Cetera, “The Next Time I Fall”. In 1991, she released the blockbuster album Heart in Motion, which became her best-selling album to date, topping the Billboard Christian album chart for 32 weeks, selling five million copies in the U.S., and producing her second No. 1 pop single “Baby Baby.” She is the author of several books, including a memoir, Mosaic: Pieces of My Life So Far, and a book based on the popular Christmas song “Breath of Heaven (Mary’s Song)” which she co-wrote. A longtime and active Nashville resident, Grant is as well known for her philanthropy as for her music. She and husband, Vince Gill, are tireless in their efforts to aid worthy causes. An evening of joy, worship and celebration, thanking God for His Never-Stopping, Never-Giving-Up, Unbreaking, Always-and-Forever Love.

Through stories and songs, we trace God’s hand in the stories He is telling in our lives, and in the Great Story of Redemption—and specifically in how Lloyd-Jones’ Jesus Storybook Bible came to be—(While kids are always welcome and we are always friendly to families, this is an evening geared for their grown-ups.)

About the Venue

The Autumn Ridge Church Arts Series brings the finest and most significant world-class Christian artists to Southeast Minnesota. Founded in 2007, the Autumn Ridge Church Arts Series hosts two major arts events annually.

Located on a 60-acre scenic hillside in Rochester Minnesota, Autumn Ridge Church is the largest and oldest congregation in Southeast Minnesota. Autumn Ridge is a non-denominational church founded in 1857, moving to its current site in 2006. The facility offers to greater Rochester more than 100,000 square feet of worship, ministry, and service space. Accessible by a local international airport and home of the Mayo Clinic, Rochester is a thriving community just 90 miles south of the twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

The main auditorium seats 1188, with reserved seating and general admission capabilities. The space is acoustically tuned for presentations ranging from major touring rock shows to dramatic theatrical performances, chamber orchestras, smaller ensembles, choirs, and conferences. Served by theatrical lighting and a substantial house PA, the space also routinely accommodates touring shows with traveling and contracted production and backline. The venue is served by experienced professional and volunteer staff. A spacious lobby accommodates pre- and post-show activities, ticketing, and merchandise sales. Complete back of house facilities are available.

An attached athletic facility with stage, the CENTER provides a venue for high-energy youth events with 1,200 – 1,500 standing festival capacity. The CENTER also provides showers, catering, and dressing room facilities.

Adjacent to the main lobby, this multi-purpose space is served by a commercial kitchen.

At 4,000 square feet with a capacity of 200, this warm chapel space is popular for smaller performing events and meet/greet activities.
