Autumn Ridge Church Adopts Three Bold Initiatives

After five years of praying, planning and sacrificial giving Autumn Ridge Church moved into a beautiful new facility in December 2005.  Throughout the building process our rallying cry was, “It is not for us.” Once in our new building the church leadership asked the congregation to carefully and prayerfully consider our next moves as a church. Hundreds of Autumn Ridgers of all ages submitted their ideas.  The Elders were thrilled with this response and delighted to see the similarity among them.  There was a clear desire to minister to “the least of these.”

As a result Autumn Ridge has adopted three bold initiatives to impact our world, our community and our church.  The first bold initiative was adopted in November 2007. It is to partner with the Compassion Evangelical Hospital in Guinea, West Africa. The congregation have raised $115,000 to build two wards and a nurses station.  This partnership with the hospital builds on our passion to reach the Maninka people of Guinea with the gospel of Christ which began in 1991.

The second bold initiative to impact our community was launched in January 2008. It is to partner with Rochester Network for ReEntry. Rochester Network have three homes in Rochester where men and women can live after they are released from prison.  There they are encouraged and discipled in their faith. Rochester Network also works with at risk teens and has an outreach in the Hunter’s Ridge community of Rochester.

The third bold initiative to impact our church will be revealed at the services on July 26 and 27, 2008.
