Family Camp 2008

Dear Autumn Ridge Church Family,

In the past 14 years, over 1000 people have attended the annual Autumn Ridge Family Camp. Four families have attended 13 of the 14 years! It is a great place to build memories with friends and family, to relax, and to have fun. I have seen many people that are new to Autumn Ridge develop friendships at Camp. Likewise, I have seen long-time attenders broaden their circle of friends.

Family Camp is for people of all ages and walks of life. Fort Wilderness has a wide variety of activities to keep anyone busy (or not busy) if you prefer that. The enclosed brochure lists some of the activities and there are always new things being added. The facilities are top notch, the food is excellent, and the staff is caring and kind. One of my family’s biggest challenges is not to over-schedule – there are so many things to do.

We look forward to great teaching and good fellowship with this year’s speaker, Dan Farm. Dan was on staff for many years, serving in a variety of roles at Autumn Ridge. He is currently working on his Doctor of Ministry degree at Bethel Seminary and will be speaking on “Following the Master.”

I invite you to attend Autumn Ridge Family Camp this summer. This is our 15th year of camp and 10th year at The Fort. First time attendees are offered a discount ($35 off per adult, $25 off per child). If you are interested in going but have any concerns about being able to go, let me know and we will see what we can do to get you there. Scholarship money is available.

Our camp week begins Saturday, August 2 and ends Friday morning, August 8. Sign up begins this weekend, March 1, in the lobby. You may also mail your registration information to the church. Priority in housing accommodations is given to those who register by April 6. You will be notified of your housing assignment by the end of April.
