Becoming a Biblical Parent Class

This class is for parents who want to dedicate their children to the Lord.  This class will teach what it means to put God first in your family.  The class is taught by Children’s Pastor Pat Wester and Young Adults Pastor Andy Kumpel.  This is also a great opportunity to learn more about our Children’s programs at Autumn Ridge Church.

This class is offered multiple times throughout the year.  The next class will be offered on April 28 from 9:00 -10:15 am.  For those with young children, childcare is provided.  If you will be needing childcare, you must register by April 22 to allow time for us to arrange for childcare.

Child Dedication

What is Child Dedication?
During the service parents are asked to publically affirm their personal faith in Jesus Christ and renew their dedication to him and to his church. They are also asked to promise to bring up their child in the nurture and instruction of the Lord.  If this promise is to be fulfilled, parents must teach their children by word and example the truths of God’s word within the home.  They must also seek to lead their children to a personal faith in Christ.

A Dedication Service Is Not a Baptism.
Child dedication is a commitment by the parents to do their best to care for their child’s spiritual, physical, and emotional needs.
