Introduction to the Reformers: Dave Johnson

Autumn Ridge Church will host a 13-week video series, Bible study, and discussion group to review the concerns of the Protestant Reformation and the reformers who laid the foundation for Reformed Theology.
Autumn Ridge Church and countless other churches across the globe look back to these theologians as the basis for their own theology. In this study you will have a chance to explore the lives and concerns of John Wycliffe, John Hus, Martin Luther, Ulrich Zwingli, John Calvin, Michael & Margaretha Sattler, and William Tyndale.
Our study of the reformers will begin in about 1330 AD with the birth of Wycliffe and end in 1536 AD when Tyndale was strangled and burned at Brussels. Sound exciting? Please join us.

Absolute Surrender: Shawn O’Driscoll and Dave Marris

Are you a disciple of Jesus? Do you know that He said, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.” (Luke 9:23, 24)?
A century ago, Andrew Murray states that, “The condition for obtaining God’s full blessing is absolute surrender to Him.” But what does absolute surrender mean exactly? Is it possible? Is this what Jesus meant when he said, “For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.” (Luke 9:23, 24).
In this bible study we will use Andrew Murray’s teaching on Absolute Surrender to stimulate a biblical study of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ

The book of Judges recounts the fulfillment of the promise given to Abraham, that his descendants would increase without number and that they would live in land flowing with milk and honey. Israel was to be a holy people living in a holy land with a holy relationship with a holy God, but the profound effects of sin are seen throughout the book. Our study will remind us of the value of personal holiness and devotion to God
