Premarital Counseling

Every couple getting married at Autumn Ridge Church is required to sign a premarital covenant, take six hours of premarital instruction, to take the “Prepare Pre-Marital Inventory” and to complete 3 - 5 hours of feedback on the inventory with a pastor along with any personal counseling or instruction required. In addition, each couple will be matched up with a Marriage Mentor couple for on-going encouragement, friendship and prayer support.

A total of 12 hours entitles the couple to receive a discount on their marriage license fees. Rick Foster teaches class sessions with four 3-hour Saturday sessions in the spring and four in the fall. Our classes use “Saving Your Marriage Before it Starts” by Drs. Les & Leslie Parrott (workbook and videos). Our premarital assessment tool is the excellent “Prepare Inventory Tool” developed by Life Innovations Inc.

Marriage Mentoring Ministry

Bob and Jane Stanhope coordinate this ministry that seeks to recruit, train and provide mentors for our premarital couples and those who have been newly married. Each marriage mentoring couple must go through training and take the “Enrich” inventory tool through Life Innovations Inc.

Marriage Enrichment Ministry
