“The Love Connection” (Thursday Morning Visitation)

This is a Thursday morning visitation ministry that primarily focuses on Senior Saints or people recovering from an illness, hospitalized, those who are homebound or those with a long term disability. We meet at 9:30 a.m. for coffee and a devotional and then we visit in pairs. We make about 10 –12 visits each week. We keep records of the visits and network with other Enrichment and Care ministries as needed (request for a Congregational Nurse visit, a need for meals, a request for communion, etc.). The only requirement to join us is a willing spirit to share Christ’s love with another person.

Congregational Meals Ministry

This is an on-going ministry whose purpose is to provide meals for church members and church attendees when there is an illness, new baby, surgery or death in their immediate family. Coordination is also done with the various peer groups and small groups within the church. Volunteers to help prepare meals are always welcome.

Special Care Projects Ministry

This ministry coordinates several need-meeting special projects throughout the year. It exists to encourage and serve the church and community through a card ministry, recognition of mothers and fathers, a cookie drive for the Gift of Life Transplant House, The Ronald McDonald House, and The Hope Lodge. It also coordinates the collection of food for Channel One and the collection of clothes for the Women’s Shelter. Our Christmas projects include “Operation Christmas Child” (overseas shoebox gifts through Samaritan’s Purse) and the “Angel Tree Project” (gifts for the families of those parents who are incarcerated). Volunteers are always welcome.

Pastoral Visitation

Please call the church office or mark the weekend services if you would like a pastoral call.
