Gary Seaquist, Pastor of Enrichment and Care
Gary is responsible for the establishment and coordination of the Enrichment and Care ministries of the church. He oversees the Christ-centered recovery program called Celebrate Recovery and the Thursday morning visitation ministry, Love Connection. He provides leadership for our Congregational Nurse team, our Congregational Meals team, our Special Care Projects team, and is the contact person for all counseling issues in the church. He oversees the Time of Need ministry including the coordination of hospital and other visitation (in conjunction with Pastor Bill Pencille), financial crisis and funeral arrangements (in conjunction with Steve England and the church staff). Gary also is responsible for our Premarital Program and our Marriage Enrichment ministries. In addition, he develops and coordinates educational seminars and provides other tools to assist the church and community in areas of overall enrichment and care.
Gary is married to Bobbi and they have two children and three grandchildren. They were married in 1963 in Hillsboro, Oregon. Gary graduated from Western Seminary in Portland, OR, having earned Master of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees. He taught for two years in the areas of Biblical Hebrew and Biblical Literature as a Graduate Fellow. He then studied for four years in the graduate program of Hebrew and Semitic Studies at the University of Wisconsin. Gary and Bobbi have a passion for helping hurting people to become healthy and productive for the Lord. In addition, they both have a global perspective and have enjoyed offering hospitality to internationals in addition to their travels to several Middle Eastern countries.
