John is the preaching pastor of Autumn Ridge Church and speaks at our three weekend services. He also is responsible for special services throughout the year and for conducting weddings and funerals. He serves as a non-voting member of the Board of Elders and all other organizations of the church and seeks to articulate the vision of the leadership to the congregation. In addition to leading the pastoral team John also provides pastoral care and counseling to the church family. He and his wife, Gretchen, enjoy entertaining church groups, individuals and visiting speakers in their home. They also speak together at marriage retreats and conferences. John represents the church by attending community events and serving on various boards. He is an active participant in the Evangelical Pastors Fellowship. He speaks at local colleges, schools and para-church groups. He regularly preaches and teaches overseas. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Crossroads College and LifeSource, the organ procurement organization for the Midwest, as well as the Salvation Army. John is married to Gretchen. They have three children, Nicholas, Emily and Hannah. John's interests include cricket, model railroading and walking the English Costal Path.
